ironically, Brittania is a name the romans gave the island

at 1st, brittania was invaded by the romans under the Julio César's orders. in fact, brittania was a roman colony.

i decided to draw her like this 'cause before the romans, there were the celtics, a race who liked to do war XD.

thos blue paintings are paintings the celtic people used to use when they were 'bout to do war, it was kinda like a "lucky charm" they believed the gods would give them power with those blue things.

why black hair and not blonde? 'cause the real englads have black hair, not blonde. they become blonde when germania invaded brittania's private parts

i based brittania on this really cool celtic queen Boudica. i totally love her! she was a celtic queen who swore to have revenge agaisnt the romans 'cause they raped her daughters and hit her D: so, she went to the neighbour villages and make pacts with them. in the end, all those villages were under the orders of queen Boudica.

sadly, boudica's military was... out of control, without any discipline, on the contrary with the roman military. in the end, boudica's lost the final battle after a few winnings.

nobody knows what happened with boudica, some say she survided the last battle but killed herself on embarrasment. that happen too with the daughters, nobody knos what happened with them but also say they might have killed herself along with her mother.
